Timeline for Change
Changes to the Liquor Control Act have set the wheels in motion for an array of improvements to Manitoba’s hospitality experience. The MLCC is consulting with the hospitality industry to develop guidelines and ensure smooth implementation.
The changes come into effect in stages:
- The first set of improvements took effect on June 16, 2011, when legislation changes received royal assent.
- The second set took effect on July 1, 2011.
- The third set took effect on November 1, 2011 and beyond.
- Some initiatives will occur throughout 2012.
